Angela and Christian came home for Christmas. We had so much fun, Christmas is definitely the happiest time of the year. I got to spend special time with Christian going to our town's gas station and grabbing some ice cream. We talked, and laughed for quite a while. It was very fun. With Angela we decided that we would go to Banning state park and take Dove and Cayenne with us and take some pictures. I am so glad that we did. It was one of the most fun times I've had with Angela. Here are some of our pictures with the dogs.
We brought mom's Nikon with so we couldn't take a picture of all of us together. So instead we took turns standing with our dogs in either the bushes, or by the trees, or by a bench. Sometimes we'd hold both of the dogs.
This picture turned out great. The dogs were looking at a squirrel when we took it.
Angela is doing her model pose :)
Towards the end of the walk when Angela and I decided to head back to the truck, we were amazed at how well the dogs were toughing it out. They were up to anything we asked. Climbing onto a tree for a picture, or resisting the urge for chasing after squirrels. We also couldn't believe that they weren't showing any signs of tiring out yet. Well, we got into the truck, drank the last of our hot coco, and then looked back and seen Dove and Cayenne as comfortable as ever already sleeping. We both laughed at how tuckered out they were. It was so much fun for all of us though. And I am glad that we did it.
Welcome to Larissa's Page
Hi my name is Larissa, I'm Randy and Rosie's daughter.
For me raising Labs is more fun and a joy rather then a business. And the dog chores aren't really chores for me.
Being able to see that each one of the dogs are happy, healthy, beautiful, loving Labrador Retrievers brings so much fun into my life. They each have a different personality. I found a saying on the web about 6 months ago. It said "Labs are not my whole life.... But they make my life whole". For me that is one of my favriote sayings and really explains what the labs bring into all of our lives. I hope that through these pictures that you will see how much we care and love our Labs. And how much they care and love us back.
We live on 80 acres in a great, but cold state in the winter. Minnesota!!!
This was taken by the Kettle River.
My Mom Rosie is the one who takes all the calls and does all the pictures on the website. She's really quick to return calls and get people new pictures. on mom's birthday, us kids had mom and dad go out to eat and then we put birthday hats on her two favorite girls (Summer and Dove). It was really fun and mom loved it!!
My Dad Randy, trains the Labs for hunting and does the shots and chores. Watching him train is lots of fun. He's very patient with them, and you can tell that the dogs love him.
Angela is the oldest of us kids. She is 24 and is on her 2nd year of teaching in Texas. This year she's teaching her favorite subject... LATIN!! Her favorite dog is Summer. She is planning on getting a female puppy out of Summer's next litter. Hey Look! They match!!! except that Angela has blue eyes and Ruby has a black nose. :)
My oldest brother Christian. He will be graduating in May with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He got a dog from us a few years ago that I trained for him in obedience. She is a wonderful dog. Right now were just taking care of her until he has finished his school.
The youngest is my little 6 year old brother Trevor. This next year will be his 2nd year in 4-H. Last year he took my mom's dog Summer. It's really cool to watch Trevor working so hard with Summer so she can be the best. When we went to the county show he was really surprised to get a Clover Bud medal for doing well in obedience with Summer. He's really excited for this next year in 4-H.
My Very First AKC Show!!! I had so much fun with Dove. She was
grreat to work with and the judges were amazing. It was a great
experience and I am excited for the next one coming up.
I absolutely LOVE the top and bottum picture here. Going to show's can be stressful and when you get into the showring, nerveousness is hard to not have. But having Dove was such a blessing and so much fun. She is always looking up at me waiting for something next and she always has that fun loving smile on her face. When you see that you really can't help but smile and have fun yourself.
Going to St.
Cloud to take Dove to her very first AKC conformation show. She did
great and was definitely the happiest dog out there. Her tail was
swinging back and forth and she looked like she had a smile on her
face. It was a great experience and we had fun too.
Even though her show was shorter then a half and hour she acted like she needed a power nap!
A few weeks ago I went to the nursing home with a friend of mine, her dog, mom, and Summer. It was Summer's first time at the nursing home and she did great!!
Last year at State 4-H time, there was a professional photographer who took pictures of Cayenne, Gunner, and me with them both. It was lots of fun and the pictures are great!
Taking little random pics of the dogs is so much fun. And a lot of times you get more then you were even hoping.
Here are a few pictures that were like that.
This is Mattie and Cayenne.
Dove, Summer, and Cayenne love to lie in the shade during the heat of the day.
This is such a peaceful picture, one of my favorites.
Summer, Chloe, Cayenne, and Dove all love playing with each other.
It's lots of fun to see the dogs interact together. It's also lots of fun catching the action with a camera.
A few days ago I took this picture as dad was walking into the house. It was about 6:30 in the evening with overcast skies. The lighting in pictures plays a huge part, and it's lots of fun when you get it just right.
Coco was the very first Labrador that we had. As you can see in the picture..... She's definitely my dad's dog.
The Kettle river is lots of fun for us and the dogs to go to. Brook especially loves it.
This is my sister Angela, My cousin Becca, and me and Summer and my girl Cayenne.
Puppies are fun for EVERYONE!!!!
Lab's don't just love people and the water...........
..........They love the mud too.
The guys are out huntin' up some fun!!!!
Going for walks is lots of fun. Especially right after a rain when the pond nearby is full of water for the Labs to splash, and do a bit of fetching around in.
Brook's pretty tired after working hard to jump up and onto the hay bale.
This is one of my favorite pictures!!! Caleb is a Gunner puppy Like father like son!!
You can't tell me that these guys aren't "Family Loved."
This is another one of my favorites.
After a big snowfall dad takes his tractor and plows all of the snow into one big pile for the dogs, Trevor, and I. In this picture Trevor was five, I was 11, and Cayenne was just a baby about 14 weeks old.
I think that it wold be better for her to look at the camera rather then Yawn at the camera. But it's still cute anyway.
This is Christian with one of Sadie's last litter of puppies.
Sasha was a very cute and sweet puppy.
This is me with Summer just a few days after we got her. She looks so much like Dove!!
This picture is another one of my favorites. I love the camera that we use that stops the action.
Playing outside with the puppies is lots of fun for yourself and the puppies.
Isn't Sadie's boy cute?!?!
It's lots of fun going to the Kettle River with Friends. It's even more fun when they like your dogs and ask if they can bring one with.
The girls are out suntanning!! But Brook would rather be in the water.
We take all the puppies out so they can run outside and have some fun. Once the puppies are weaned they really like to follow you and it's great training for them. This time it was Dad's turn to exercise them.
I love this picture of mom's 2 girls. She really likes it too. Dove is pretty young in this one.
Having younger kids play with puppies is great medicine for them both!!!
This is our friend Crosby holding a little girl out of Mocha's first litter.
This is my cousin holding a puppy out of Coco's litter. The puppy is being very patient.
This picture is of me, my friend Nikki, Trevor, and a puppy that I was training. When we train the puppies we like bringing them to different places for socializing. This time we brought Sydney to the park. He did pretty well there too.
Here at Family Loved Labs we have 3 exercise fences for the dogs to run in. These fences give the dogs plenty of excercise. As you will see in the pictures........ The dogs absolutely love them!!
Sandy was another dog that I trained. She was lots of fun and very smart. She is a full sister to Sydney.
This picture is of my younger brother Trevor and our girl Carley. Carley is the mom of both Cali and Angel.
Another family favorite is going to the game fair. The game fair is completely for hunting dogs and one of the sports that you do there with your dog is jumping off a dock. Booker seemed to enjoy it!!!
One morning the sun was just perfectly above the trees and the
color was great. I don't know why I like sky pictures so much. But it
just makes my heart sing to look at them.
The same morning we left for the show we seen 2 bald eagles flying around. I was able to get a picture of one of them.
4-H
Is so much fun!!!
I have been involved in 4-H for four years now, and have loved every minute of it. It's a great learning experience and they teach you so many things. I am so thankful that I got into 4-H, and I have had some of the best years at 4-H too. Here are some pictures of this years 4-H, and last years.
4-H in 09 Cayenne and Gunner got a few Reserved and Grand Champions, and Trevor got a Cloverbud medal.
Trevor in the ring with just his dog and the judge. Trevor did very well with Summer. She cooperated and Trevor was very proud.
Showmanship with Gunner. Gunner got reserved champion in Showmanship. He stood nicely and was very good.
Getting ready for figure eight and obedience. Gunner did well in obedience and Rally-O. He Got Reserved Champion in obedience and Grand Champion in Rally-O.
Obedience with Cayenne. Cayenne did very well in the ring. She got a reserved Grand Champion.
Resting after a big day.
Cayenne in agility. She did great this year. In agility she got Grand Champion and she had a clean run.
4-H in 08 In this picture I am showing in showmanship with my boy Gunner. Gunner is alot of fun to do this with cause of how hard he tries to do his best for me. This sport is a bit challenging. But Gunner always seems to find a way to make it fun.
